Slade grew up in Sharlayan, adopted into a family when he was just a baby. He was found by his adopted parents on the far edge of Ilsabard. Unknowing what had happened to his family and unable to find any other Hrothgar in the area, they took him in and adopted him. To this day Slade does not know who his biological parents are or where he is from, but considers Sharlayan home and his adopted family his one and only family.

Growing up Slade grew a passion for crafting and studied every profession available under the best teachers in the Studium, specialising in blacksmithing and cooking. He now spends a lot of his time crafting and working the market board. He is able to source his own materials thanks to the things he has learned from gleaners and textbooks, creating things from scratch.

As part of his extracurricular activities Slade also learnt the curative arts at the Studium, learning how to effectively use Nouliths. He now uses these skills to occasionally join adventuring parties and aid them by healing their wounds, feeling nothing but accomplishment being able to provide support to them in difficult situations.

Slade is very much a lovable goof ball, always with a smile on his face and throwing out random peace signs. He can be a little timid at first but then comes out of his shell as he warms up to people, but don't be surprised if he's a little awkward. Sometimes he gives off a cool bad cat vibe as he likes to explore that side of fashion, but is still the same fluffy goofy Hrothgar inside.

On the 24th Sun of the Second Astral Moon 1572, Slade married his soulmate Colossus.

In his spare time Slade likes to express his creative desires through house and interior design.

Slade is filled with absolute joy whenever he sees other Hrothgar.
